CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026 Portal Issues Raise Concern
CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Faces Complaints
CBSE Class 12 students are facing fresh stress after the 2026 board results, as the re-evaluation and scanned answer sheet process ran into repeated portal problems. The results were announced on May 13, but many students later reported login failures, service errors, failed payments, and delayed access while applying for scanned answer sheets and verification.
The issue became serious after thousands of students tried to use the portal within a short time. CBSE said it received 1.27 lakh applications covering nearly 3.87 lakh answer sheets within three hours after the portal resumed on May 20. Some students also claimed that uploaded answer sheets were blurred or incomplete, making it difficult to check whether marks were properly awarded.
Re-Test Unlikely, Focus On Fair Rechecking
The controversy has raised concerns among students and parents, especially after the Class 12 pass percentage dropped to 85.20 percent this year. Questions have also been raised about the On-Screen Marking system and whether teachers received enough training before its wider use.
However, there is no official indication that CBSE is planning a Class 12 re-test. Experts say the present issue is linked to post-result services, not a paper leak or exam compromise. With more than 17.6 lakh students involved, a fresh exam would create a huge logistical and emotional burden. The focus now should be on faster, transparent and fair rechecking to restore student confidence.
