Rajinikanth Reacts To Vijay’s CM Victory

Veteran actor Rajinikanth addressed the media at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai and clarified his political stand after criticism over his reaction to Vijay becoming Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Rajinikanth said he was extremely shocked when he heard about Vijay’s victory, but made it clear that his response was not due to jealousy or political rivalry.

The actor said he has stayed away from active politics for several years and does not have any reason to comment with political intentions. He also mentioned the 28-year age gap between him and Vijay, adding that Vijay earned public recognition on his own by standing against two major political parties.

Friendship With Stalin Beyond Politics

Rajinikanth also defended his meeting with MK Stalin after the election results. He said his friendship with Stalin is beyond politics and added that he felt sad about Stalin’s defeat in Kulathur. The actor rejected criticism that his meeting had any hidden political meaning.

Rajinikanth further said he had already congratulated Vijay through X after the win. He explained that he held the press meet because repeated criticism could become accepted as truth if he remained silent. His clarification comes amid intense Tamil Nadu political buzz after the election results.
