Allu Arjun Plans Faster Film Strategy with Strict 200-Day Rule
Allu Arjun is reportedly taking a strategic step to speed up his film commitments amid growing concerns in the theatrical market. With small and medium-budget films struggling to bring audiences to theatres and big stars taking nearly three years for a single pan-India project, the industry is facing a slowdown. This shift is also impacting audience habits, with fewer people visiting cinemas regularly.
Industry observers warn that if the trend continues, nearly 40% of single-screen theatres could shut down soon. Even multiplexes may face challenges due to reduced footfalls and limited releases. Among leading stars, Prabhas is seen maintaining a relatively better pace by working on multiple projects simultaneously, setting an example for others.
In response to these changing dynamics, Allu Arjun has reportedly decided to adopt a parallel shooting strategy. He is expected to begin his film with Lokesh Kanagaraj from October 2026, followed by another project with a top Telugu director starting April 2027. The actor is also likely to work simultaneously on a film with Basil Joseph.
As part of his new approach, each film will have a strict 200-day solo shooting window. If a project extends beyond that period, Allu Arjun plans to move forward with another film in parallel to avoid delays. This decision is being seen as a proactive move that could benefit both fans and the trade by ensuring more consistent releases and better theatre engagement.
