Anand Kumar Raises Concerns Over Coaching Centres Amid NEET-UG Leak Allegations
Anand Kumar has called for stricter action and tighter regulation of coaching centres amid controversy surrounding alleged irregularities and leak claims linked to NEET-UG 2026. The issue has triggered widespread discussion among students, parents and education experts across the country regarding the security and transparency of major competitive examinations.
The controversy gained attention after claims circulated online suggesting that portions of a “guess paper” allegedly matched several questions in the examination. Social media discussions and unverified reports further intensified concerns among medical aspirants who appeared for the entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency.
Reacting to the developments, Anand Kumar described the situation as “very unfortunate” and said repeated controversies linked to competitive examinations could seriously affect students’ confidence and mental well-being. He urged authorities to adopt long-term corrective measures to protect the credibility of national-level entrance tests.
Anand Kumar also stressed the need for stronger monitoring and regulation of coaching institutions operating across the country. According to him, unchecked commercialisation and excessive competition within the coaching sector have increased pressure surrounding major examinations. He stated that strict action should be taken against any institution or individuals found involved in unfair practices or leak-related activities.
The NEET-UG 2026 controversy has once again reignited debate over examination security and systemic reforms in India’s education sector. Several education experts and student groups have called for improved digital safeguards, tighter monitoring systems and faster official communication to prevent misinformation and panic during high-stakes examinations.
Meanwhile, the NTA has advised candidates to rely only on official notifications regarding NEET-UG 2026 and avoid believing unverified claims circulating online. Authorities are expected to examine complaints and allegations related to the controversy before taking any further steps.
