Description Title: Patna Court Stays Khan Sir's Arrest In KGS Firing Probe
A Patna court has granted interim protection from arrest to educator Khan Sir while allowing police to continue questioning him in the coaching centre firing case.
Khan Sir Gets Interim Protection From Arrest
A Patna district court has granted interim protection from arrest to educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, in connection with the coaching centre firing case linked to Khan Global Studies.
The relief came during the hearing of his anticipatory bail plea. The court said police can continue questioning Khan Sir as part of the investigation, but no coercive action, including arrest, can be taken against him until further orders.
Case Linked To KGS Vandalism And Firing
The case began after a group allegedly vandalised the Khan Global Studies premises in Patna on June 2. Stones were reportedly thrown at the coaching institute, following which a video surfaced on social media allegedly showing security guards firing shots.
Police later detained two guards linked to the institute. The weapons allegedly used in the incident were seized and sent for forensic examination.
Allegations Denied As Probe Continues
Khan Sir had earlier alleged that people connected to a rival coaching centre were behind the attack. However, members of the rival institute accused him of staging the incident. Khan Sir has denied the allegations.
The matter remains under investigation, while the court has reserved its order on another accused’s bail plea.
