India on Thursday participated as an observer in the inaugural meeting of United States President Donald Trump’s newly formed Board of Peace initiative focused on the Gaza Strip. According to the official list of participants, India was represented by Namgya Khampa, Chargé d’Affaires at the Indian embassy in Washington, DC. Government sources indicated that New Delhi has not formally joined the Board of Peace and is currently maintaining an observer position as it closely tracks development
