R.P. Patnaik meets newly appointed SVBC Chairman
Renowned Telugu singer, music director, actor and producer R.P. Patnaik met Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel Chairman B. Sridhar Varma at the SVBC office in Tirupati on September 13, 2026. During the cordial meeting, Patnaik felicitated Sridhar Varma and congratulated him on his recent appointment as chairman. Their interaction focused on devotional content and the possibility of working together to present meaningful spiritual programmes to audiences through the SVBC platform.
Devotional albums and singles presented during meeting
R.P. Patnaik briefed the chairman about several devotional music projects he has recently developed. These included the album “Deva Karunamrutham,” which features compositions such as “Laxmi Narayanastakam,” “Datta Padukastakam” and “Datta Chinmayastakam.” He also shared details about the soulful devotional single “Appa Appa Ayyappa” and “Pibare Rama Rasam,” a musical offering dedicated to Lord Rama. The projects reflect Patnaik’s continuing interest in using music to present devotional literature and spiritual ideas in an accessible format.
Sampoorna Bhagavadgeetha Taathparyam discussed
Another important project presented during the meeting was “Sampoorna Bhagavadgeetha Taathparyam.” The initiative covers all 18 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita and seeks to communicate their meaning and spiritual significance to devotees. B. Sridhar Varma appreciated Patnaik’s efforts and praised the quality and devotional value of the content being created. He also thanked the musician for taking the time to visit the SVBC office and welcomed his interest in contributing programmes to the channel.
Future collaboration on spiritual programming explored
R.P. Patnaik expressed his desire to conduct more devotional programmes on SVBC in the future. Both parties explored opportunities to broadcast devotional music series and special spiritual presentations through the channel. Operated by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, SVBC is recognised as a public-sector devotional television channel serving viewers in India and overseas. Its programming includes live coverage of temple rituals, sacred Parayanams, devotional music and discourses. A collaboration with Patnaik could further strengthen its original spiritual content while introducing his devotional projects to a wider global audience.
