CBSE Students Face Admission Pressure Amid Answer Sheet Row

CBSE Class 12 students are facing a difficult situation as the board’s re-evaluation process and JoSAA counselling schedule are running almost side by side. The CBSE re-evaluation portal opens on June 1, while JoSAA registration begins on June 2, leaving engineering aspirants with very little time to wait for corrected marks.

For many students, the worry is no longer just about marks, but whether admission deadlines will move faster than the correction process. Since re-evaluation results may come only by June or early July, students are being advised to complete JoSAA registration and choice filling with their current marks, while separately applying for CBSE re-evaluation if they believe there is an error.

Answer Sheet Row Raises Trust Concerns

The issue has become bigger after students and researchers raised questions about CBSE’s On-Screen Marking system, scanned answer sheets, and the Coempt Eduteck contract. Allegations over blurred copies, missing pages, portal vulnerabilities, and possible phone-scanned answer sheets have added to student anxiety.

CBSE has denied favouritism in the tender process and said the evaluation platform remained secure. However, the board has acknowledged vulnerabilities in an associated portal and said corrective measures were being taken.

What Students Should Do Now

Students should not delay admission steps while waiting for re-evaluation results. They should keep copies of application receipts, scanned answer sheets, payment proof and CBSE updates ready. If marks change later, the revised marksheet can be submitted where required.
