Chiranjeevi Holds Key Industry Meeting
Megastar Chiranjeevi met senior Telugu film industry representatives and exhibitors to discuss the ongoing percentage-based revenue-sharing issue affecting single-screen theatres. The meeting was attended by Dil Raju, Suresh Babu, K.L. Narayana, Allu Aravind and Telangana exhibitor representatives. The dispute is linked to concerns over how revenue should be shared between producers, distributors and theatre owners.
Fair Solution For All Stakeholders
After hearing the concerns, Chiranjeevi reportedly said that any decision should protect the interests of all sections of the Telugu film industry. He reminded everyone that the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce remains the key decision-making body and that its process should be respected. He also expressed confidence in the new committee formed to study the issue and submit recommendations by June 30.
Exhibitors Welcome Positive Response
Dil Raju said Chiranjeevi patiently listened to the exhibitors’ concerns and assured support for a balanced solution. Exhibitor representative Sridhar also appreciated Chiranjeevi’s positive response, saying the meeting gave hope that the issue would be handled fairly.
