The Ganga Expressway has officially been opened, marking a major milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 594 km long expressway from Hardoi on Wednesday, formally launching a key route that connects the eastern and western regions of the state. The inauguration event was held near the Sadarpur interchange in Hapur district, where thousands of people gathered to witness the launch. Around 5,000 attendees, including ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs and senior administrative officials, were present at the ceremony. With the inauguration complete, traffic movement on the expressway has begun, opening a new high-speed corridor that is expected to significantly reduce travel time across the state.
New travel experience and reduced time:
The Ganga Expressway is designed to transform long-distance travel within Uttar Pradesh by offering a faster and more direct route. Covering nearly 594 kilometres, it connects major regions and makes journeys more efficient for commuters. Travelers from Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Baghpat and parts of Haryana are expected to benefit the most, as the expressway allows them to avoid congested routes and reach eastern Uttar Pradesh in much less time. What once required a long and tiring journey can now be completed more comfortably, with better road conditions and fewer interruptions.
