CBSE Class 12 Rechecking Concern Grows Amid OSM Security Questions

CBSE’s digital evaluation row has put Class 12 students and parents on edge as answer sheet scan issues, rechecking concerns, and security questions continue to grow.

CBSE’s Class 12 digital evaluation system is facing one of its biggest trust tests after students raised concerns over scanned answer sheets, rechecking delays, and alleged security gaps in the On-Screen Marking system.

What started as complaints over unexpectedly low marks has now turned into a larger debate on transparency. Several students claimed they found blurred pages, missing answers, unchecked responses, and even answer sheet mismatches after accessing their evaluated copies. For many students waiting for college admissions, even one missed answer or an unclear scan can affect plans.

Rechecking Pressure Builds

More than 4 lakh students reportedly applied to view over 11 lakh evaluated answer sheets. With the re-evaluation window opening, thousands may now seek mark verification or rechecking. This has made the CBSE marks verification issue a major concern for students and parents.

Security Gap Claims Add Pressure

The row grew further after ethical hacker Nisarga Adhikary alleged vulnerabilities in CBSE-linked digital systems. CBSE said it is monitoring issues in the portal run by its service provider and has involved cybersecurity experts, government agencies, and IIT specialists to strengthen the platform.

Rahul Gandhi also alleged that some answer sheets were scanned using mobile phones instead of professional scanners. CBSE has not accepted all allegations, but the controversy has clearly raised serious questions over digital evaluation, student trust, and exam accountability.
