The much-awaited trailer of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups presents a visually striking world driven by power, relationships, betrayal and revenge. Yash headlines the film in what appears to be an intense dual-shaded role, with the story placing a complicated father-son relationship at its emotional core. The trailer teases Yash as Raya and Ticket, setting up an intriguing “Yash versus Yash” dynamic that adds another layer to the narrative. Large-scale action sequences, dark textured visuals, elaborate production design and stylish character moments position Toxic as a major action spectacle while keeping relationships and emotional conflict central to the story.

Yash Calls Toxic an Indian Film Made for a Global Audience

Speaking at the grand Toxic trailer launch event in Bengaluru, Yash said the project was created with the ambition of taking Indian cinema to a wider global platform. He described Toxic as the collective effort of artists and technicians who worked with passion over an extensive production schedule. According to Yash, the film was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English for nearly 200 days, making it one of his most demanding projects. He also praised director Geetu Mohandas for her commitment and thanked producer Venkat K. Narayana for backing the film without compromising its scale. Yash added that he stepped outside his comfort zone for the role and will be seen in multiple distinct looks.

Star Cast Praises Geetu Mohandas and the Film’s Vision

The film brings together Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in prominent roles. Yash stressed that the women in the film have meaningful characters rather than simply supporting the protagonist. At the event, Nayanthara described Toxic as a special project and praised Yash’s years of dedication, while Kiara Advani said she expects the film to become a defining milestone in her career. Huma Qureshi called the trailer mesmerizing, and Rukmini Vasanth spoke about the experience of working alongside the ensemble cast. Geetu Mohandas, meanwhile, credited the cast, production and direction teams for bringing her bold vision to the screen and praised Yash as an actor, producer and co-writer.

Toxic Eyes Worldwide Release on August 26

Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar attended the launch and praised the trailer’s visuals, Yash’s growth and the director’s presentation. Producer KVN also highlighted Ravi Basrur’s music and expressed confidence that Toxic could connect with audiences beyond national borders. Produced jointly by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film has been made simultaneously in English and Kannada and will also release in dubbed Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on August 26, 2026.
