Ritika Nayak joins Sundeep Kishan in Powerpeta as Padamataveedhi Janaki. The makers revealed her first-look poster and a glimpse of her character, offering a preview of the different looks she will bring to Krishna Chaitanya’s ambitious film.
Ritika Nayak Introduced as Padamataveedhi Janaki
70mm Entertainments has introduced Ritika Nayak as the female lead opposite Sundeep Kishan in Powerpeta. The production house, led by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy, unveiled her first-look poster to mark her birthday. It presents Ritika in a traditional avatar, seated on a wooden bench inside a vintage-style home. She wears a cream-coloured half-saree with a peach-toned dupatta and sleeveless blouse, paired with traditional jewellery. Her long, wavy hair and poised expression complete the look.
Ritika, who has appeared in Mirai and Korean Kanakaraju, is introduced as Padamataveedhi Janaki. Alongside the poster, the makers released a glimpse featuring her in several different looks. It moves from traditional elegance to more contemporary, alluring styles, with an oversized shirt standing out as a distinctive choice. The preview offers a glimpse of the character’s varied shades while leaving her story largely under wraps.
A Story of Love, Honour and Politics
Written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya, Powerpeta stars Sundeep Kishan as Senapathi Ravi. The makers previously introduced his character through a glimpse that hinted at a story shaped by love, honour and politics. The film is being positioned as an intense drama driven by strong characters and dramatic storytelling, with Ritika’s Janaki adding a new dimension to the central narrative.
Production Update and Technical Team
The makers describe Powerpeta as Krishna Chaitanya’s most ambitious project to date. Production is progressing, with 60% of the shoot completed. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Madhie and music composer Mani Sharma. National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad is handling the editing, while Ramakrishna and Monika oversee production design. Sachin Sudhakaran and Hariharan are responsible for sound design.
