Advance bookings for Ramayana: The Rise of a Legend crossed ₹5 crore ahead of its November 5, 2026, release. But premium ticket prices, including a ₹3,170 recliner listing in Mumbai, have prompted affordability concerns among some moviegoers.
Mumbai and Delhi Ticket Prices Draw Attention
In Mumbai, BookMyShow listings for the 7:30 am IMAX 3D show at EROS INOX IMAX, Churchgate, ranged from ₹530 to ₹680. Select premium recliner seats at the venue were listed at ₹3,170. These prices apply to specific seats and showings, and may change.
In Delhi, tickets for the 9 am 3D show at PVR ECX, Chanakyapuri, were listed at ₹338.98–₹406.78 before GST. The 11:45 pm show ranged from ₹474.58 to ₹559.32, also before GST. IMAX tickets were listed between ₹600 and ₹2,400, depending on the show and seat.
Some moviegoers on social media said tickets listed at around ₹800 had risen to about ₹1,200 within three to four hours. Others raised concerns about demand-linked pricing and booking-app convenience fees. These are user reports, rather than evidence of a general increase across all shows.
Bengaluru Bookings Open as Fans Question Costs
In Bengaluru, Kannada and Telugu screenings were listed at AMB Cinemas Kapali and other theatres, with prices ranging from ₹450 to ₹950 across 2D and 3D formats. The earliest listed show began at 9:15 am. As of October 21, Hindi and IMAX listings had not appeared in the city, while bookings in Hyderabad and Chennai had yet to open.
Ramayana Advance Bookings Cross ₹5 Crore
According to Sacnilk figures reported on October 21, the film had collected ₹5.44 crore in Indian advance bookings, including block bookings. The total stood at about ₹3.61 crore after blocked seats were excluded. The report counted 92,755 tickets across 3,533 shows. These figures are a snapshot from that afternoon; collections and availability may change as more bookings open.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey, Anupam Kher, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and Vivek Oberoi.
The two-part project is reportedly being made on a combined budget of ₹4,000 crore, including promotions. Ramayana: The Rise of a Legend is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026. Sony Pictures is handling its international release, and the film will also screen in IMAX and other premium formats.
