Nagarjuna Akkineni’s 100th film, King100, is back in the spotlight after reports suggested that a crucial scene explains the title. The makers had confirmed King100 as the official name on August 29, 2026. Directed by Ra Karthik, the Telugu film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.

A Crucial Scene Reportedly Gives King100 Its Meaning

King100 was widely treated as a working title during production, but Annapurna Studios retained it for the official announcement on Nagarjuna’s birthday. The number 100 clearly celebrates his career milestone. Now, industry reports claim an important sequence also links the title to the film’s story. The makers have not described this scene or explained the connection, so its significance remains unconfirmed. The report nevertheless adds a new mystery to the film’s promotional campaign.

First Glimpse Hints at Wealth, Power and Conflict

The first glimpse introduces Nagarjuna in a stylish role and suggests a journey from poverty to influence. His character’s voiceover contrasts how society treats people with and without money. Shots of cash, gold, a possible financial scandal and unrest build tension, while a moment involving a baby hints at an emotional thread. The footage establishes an ambitious commercial tone but does not reveal the full plot or identify the reported title-defining scene.

Ra Karthik Directs; Tabu Reunites With Nagarjuna

Written and directed by Ra Karthik, King100 is backed by Annapurna Studios. Tabu appears in the film, reuniting with Nagarjuna after their previous screen collaborations. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music, Raja Mahadhevan is handling cinematography, and Navin Nooli is editing the project. Nagarjuna has also spoken positively about the film, describing the team's efforts to make his 100th outing memorable.

December 24 Release Raises Expectations

King100 is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, placing it in the Christmas holiday window. The milestone, star pairing and energetic first glimpse have made it a closely watched Telugu release. Fans are looking for an entertaining film that also honours Nagarjuna’s long career. For now, the reported key sequence remains the central unanswered question, with more story details expected through future promotions.
