Sai Durgha Tej’s next film, tentatively titled SDT19, was announced on his birthday. Produced by Anil Sunkara under AK Entertainments, the project marks the feature film directorial debut of Save the Tigers director Teja Kakumanu.
Sai Durgha Tej Announces SDT19
Sai Durgha Tej is taking a selective approach to choosing his films, seeking stories that give him the chance to explore new roles and show different sides of his acting. Rather than signing projects one after another, the actor is focusing on subjects and characters that feel distinct from his earlier work.
His next project, SDT19, was officially announced on his birthday. The film will be produced by Anil Sunkara under the AK Entertainments banner. While the makers have not yet revealed the film’s title or full cast and crew, the announcement has introduced it as a new collaboration for the actor.
Teja Kakumanu Makes His Feature Film Debut
Teja Kakumanu will direct the film, marking his first feature as a director. He is known for directing the popular series Save the Tigers. For SDT19, Teja has developed a story specifically for Sai Durgha Tej, with the project expected to present the actor in a new avatar. The film brings together a director moving from web series to feature filmmaking and an actor looking for fresh material. Further details about the genre, plot and supporting cast have not been announced, leaving the central character and story premise under wraps for now.
A New Role for Sai Durgha Tej
The subject and the character reportedly appealed to Sai Durgha Tej, who approved the project after hearing the story. The role is said to offer him a different space as a performer, fitting his current preference for films that allow him to take on varied characters. The makers have described Teja’s story as unique and tailored for the actor. However, they have not shared specific details about the character or what makes the film’s premise different. More information is expected as the production moves forward.
