Greta Gerwig Brings the Origins of Narnia to Life
Director Greta Gerwig, known for Barbie and Little Women, brings a fresh cinematic vision to The Chronicles of Narnia. Her upcoming film adapts C.S. Lewis’s 1955 novel The Magician’s Nephew, which serves as a prequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The official trailer introduces a visually spectacular fantasy world filled with magic, mystery and adventure. Rather than revisiting the familiar wardrobe story, the film explores how Narnia first came into existence.
Digory and Polly Begin a Magical Adventure
The story follows two children, Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer, portrayed by David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell. They encounter strange lands, powerful forces and extraordinary creatures while discovering the origins of Narnia. Daniel Craig portrays Uncle Andrew, whose experiments with magic set the adventure in motion. The trailer offers glimpses of enchanting landscapes, supernatural events and the beginning of a legendary fantasy universe.
Star-Studded Cast and Spectacular Fantasy Visuals
The film features Emma Mackey as Jadis, the future White Witch, while Meryl Streep lends her voice to Aslan, the powerful lion associated with Narnia’s creation.
