Hanuman Ansh continues its strong theatrical run, earning Rs 3.65 crore nett in India on Day 49 and taking its worldwide gross to Rs 377.05 crore. The film is now moving closer to the Rs 400 crore milestone even as Nani’s The Paradise arrives in cinemas.

Hanuman Ansh Maintains Strong Box Office Run
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh remained steady at the box office on its 49th day. According to trade figures cited in the report, the film collected Rs 3.65 crore nett in India from 6,729 shows. Its total India nett collection has reached Rs 288.33 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 340.55 crore. The film also earned Rs 0.75 crore from overseas markets on Day 49, taking its overseas gross to Rs 36.50 crore. With these numbers, the worldwide collection has climbed to Rs 377.05 crore. Despite competition from new releases, including Nani’s The Paradise, the film has continued to attract audiences and is approaching the Rs 400 crore global mark.

Uttarakhand Makes Hanuman Ansh Tax-Free
Adding to the film’s momentum, the Uttarakhand government has decided to make Hanuman Ansh tax-free in the state. Reports state that the government will reimburse the State Goods and Services Tax charged on tickets sold in cinemas and multiplexes. The decision comes as the film continues to gain attention for its story based on spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj Ji. The film’s spiritual theme and connection with the revered saint have played an important role in drawing audiences during its extended theatrical run.

Producer Recalls Difficult Journey Behind the Film
Producer Anupriya Nagar earlier revealed that Hanuman Ansh faced financial challenges during production and post-production. She said she became involved after learning that the film had been completed but required funds to finish the remaining work. Nagar invested her personal savings because of her emotional connection with the story. She also highlighted Neem Karoli Baba’s influence beyond India, referring to personalities such as Larry Brilliant and Steve Jobs, and expressed her desire to introduce more Indian audiences to his life and spiritual legacy.

Story, Cast and Road to Rs 400 Crore
Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, Hanuman Ansh follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young man in pre-Independence India who leaves home after his mother’s death in search of a spiritual path. His journey across northern India eventually transforms him into Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, while Chandan K Anand, Nikhil Dubey, Anil Rastogi, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagvandas Patel and Neha Paranjpe appear in supporting roles. With more than Rs 375 crore already collected worldwide, the film’s next major box office target is Rs 400 crore.
