Jailer 2 is preparing for a major South Indian theatrical rollout, with early-morning shows and varying ticket rates drawing attention ahead of its October 15 release. Screenings are expected to begin at 6 am in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while Tamil Nadu’s first shows are scheduled for around 8 am to 8:30 am. Bengaluru listings include premium tickets priced as high as Rs 1,600 at select multiplexes.
Jailer 2 Early-Morning Shows and Bengaluru Ticket Prices
The film’s early show timings are among the main talking points before release. Bengaluru bookings reportedly show screenings starting shortly after 6 am, giving fans an early opportunity to see Rajinikanth return as Muthuvel Pandian. At select multiplexes, premium tickets have reportedly reached Rs 1,600. That is not the standard citywide price: opening-day tickets in Bengaluru are said to average around Rs 800 to Rs 1,000, with rates varying by theatre, format and show.
Andhra Pradesh Approves a Temporary Ticket Hike
The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a temporary price increase for Jailer 2’s first seven days in theatres, from October 15 to 21. The order permits up to five shows per day and allows single-screen theatres to add Rs 50 per ticket and multiplexes to add Rs 75. Reported revised prices are Rs 197.50 for single screens and Rs 252 for multiplexes. These rates apply during the approved period and are higher than the usual permitted prices in the state.

Telangana and Tamil Nadu Rates
In Telangana, tickets currently listed at select multiplexes reportedly range from Rs 295 to Rs 350. These are the available booking rates, while shows and ticket categories may vary by location. Tamil Nadu’s first screenings are expected around 8 am or 8:30 am, with tickets currently priced at about Rs 190. Any resale at inflated prices would be separate from official theatre rates.
Rajinikanth Returns as Muthuvel Pandian
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 continues the story of Rajinikanth’s Muthuvel Pandian after the 2023 film’s success. The sequel features returning cast members Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar, alongside new additions including Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty and Suraj Venjaramoodu. With the release set for October 15, audiences will see how widely early shows open and whether demand sustains the premium pricing in different markets.
