Nani had appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Telangana Police seeking permission to watch The Paradise premiere with audiences at a theatre on RTC X Roads on September 23. Responding publicly, Revanth Reddy appreciated Nani’s willingness to follow safety guidelines and acknowledged his commitment to the film, directed by Telangana filmmaker Srikanth Odela. However, the Chief Minister did not directly grant permission for the theatre visit.
Police to Review Application for Crowd Management
Revanth Reddy instructed Nani and his team to submit an official application to the designated local police station. He said the concerned police authorities would examine the request and make a decision after considering arrangements for crowd management and public safety. The response means Nani’s proposed RTC X Roads visit remains subject to police approval. The Paradise is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on September 24, with special premiere shows planned for September 23.

In his request, Nani explained that watching films alongside audiences has always been an important part of his relationship with cinema. He said RTC X Roads holds a special place in Hyderabad’s movie culture and expressed his desire to experience the audience response to The Paradise first-hand. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film has Nani in the lead role and is one of his major theatrical releases of the year.
Safety Concerns Shape Decision on Theatre Visit
The request comes amid heightened scrutiny of crowd safety at star-attended film screenings in Hyderabad following the December 2024 Sandhya Theatre crowd surge during a Pushpa 2 screening, in which a woman died and her son was seriously injured. Against that background, the government’s response has placed the decision with the local police rather than treating the request as automatically approved. The final call on whether Nani can attend The Paradise premiere at RTC X Roads will therefore depend on the police assessment and the security arrangements proposed by the film team.
