Dhanush’s Kara Telugu Trailer Promises Intense Period Drama

Kara Telugu Trailer Out: Dhanush Stuns in Intense Period Thriller

The much-awaited Kara, starring Dhanush and directed by Vignesh Raja, has unveiled its official Telugu trailer, building strong anticipation ahead of its theatrical release on April 30, 2026. Backed by Vels Film International Ltd in association with Think Studios and Vigneswara Entertainments, the film is being presented in Telugu by CH Sathish Kumar and Rajesh Kumar Bobbara. With growing buzz across Tamil, Telugu, and overseas markets, Kara is shaping up as a major cross-language release.

The trailer stands out for its restrained storytelling, relying on tension, silence, and emotional depth rather than conventional hero elevation. At the heart of the film is a man pushed into extreme circumstances, portrayed with intensity by Dhanush. Set during the 1991 Gulf War and the fuel crisis in India, the narrative explores a rarely depicted socio-political backdrop, blending personal struggles with larger economic realities. Director Vignesh Raja continues his realistic storytelling approach, crafting a tightly woven and impactful narrative.

Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead, adding emotional weight to the story, while seasoned actors like K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaram, Karunas, and M. S. Bhaskar strengthen the ensemble. Technically, the film impresses with Theni Eswar’s raw cinematography, Sreejith Sarang’s crisp editing, and G. V. Prakash Kumar’s subtle, atmospheric music. With strong engagement from Telugu audiences and rising digital traction, Kara is set to deliver a compelling cinematic experience when it hits theatres on April 30.
