Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Chandra, known for acclaimed films such as Preyasi Raave, Ayodhya Ramayya, Cheppalani Undi, Joruga Husharuga, Okkade, Hanumanthu, Aalasyam Amrutham, and Red Alert, is back with his latest directorial venture Pithapuramlo: Ala Modalaindi. The film features an ensemble cast led by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, along with Prudhviraj, Kedar Shankar, Manichandana, Jayavahini, and Annapurnamma. Several supporting actors including Dasari Padma, Sunny Akhil, Virat, Sai Praneeth, and others appear in key roles.
Produced by Dundigalla Balakrishna, Akula Suresh Patel, and F. M. Murali under the Mahesh Chandra Cinema Team banner, the film has completed its shoot and is currently in post-production. The release date will be announced soon. Speaking about the film, Mahesh Chandra said the story revolves around the anguish of three fathers, which may appear to be about three girls on the surface, but actually reflects deeper social realities that the internet generation must understand.
He further added that Pithapuramlo mirrors contemporary society, families, and real-life struggles, while balancing emotion with love, romance, entertainment, strong dialogues, and melodious songs. The film is designed to appeal to both youth and family audiences. Drawing inspiration from the social and cultural backdrop associated with the name “Pithapuram,” the director assured a complete cinematic experience. Meanwhile, the team also extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Rajendra Prasad on receiving the prestigious Padma Shri. Mahesh Chandra noted that Pithapuramlo will be the first film of Rajendra Prasad to release after the honor and praised his powerful performance in the film’s climax.
