Pawan Kalyan reflects on his 15-year Janasena journey while reacting to Vijay’s fast rise in Tamil Nadu politics.
Pawan Kalyan’s remark on feeling jealous of Vijay’s quick political rise has become a talking point in South Indian politics.
Pawan Kalyan On Vijay’s Success
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has openly spoken about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s quick political rise. Addressing Janasena Party workers, Kalyan said he felt “a little jealous” after seeing how fast Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam grew in Tamil Nadu politics. He jokingly said Vijay’s campaign seemed to move forward with cutouts and holograms, while he had spent nearly 15 years building his own political journey. His remark stood out because political leaders rarely speak so openly about another actor-politician’s success.
Janasena’s Long Political Journey
Kalyan said running a political party is not easy, as it requires bringing lakhs of people together with one vision. He recalled that Janasena faced several challenges after its launch in 2014, including poor electoral results and personal setbacks. However, the party later became a key force in Andhra Pradesh politics. Vijay’s TVK, on the other hand, made a strong impact in Tamil Nadu within a short period. Kalyan’s comments have now sparked discussion on the different political journeys of two popular South Indian film stars.
