Ravi Teja Shifts Gears, Experiments with New Story Choices
Ravi Teja, popularly known as the Mass Maharaja, built his career on high-energy commercial entertainers that delivered consistent box office success. His energetic screen presence, unique dialogue delivery, and mass appeal made him a perfect fit for such roles. However, in recent times, the same formula has not been yielding the expected results, with audiences now looking for something fresh and different from the actor.
Recognising this shift, Ravi Teja has started experimenting with new genres and storytelling styles. Earlier, he stepped into a softer, family-oriented role with Bratha Mahaseyalaku Vignyapthi during Sankranthi, which received a decent response despite not being a major hit. Continuing in that direction, his upcoming film Irumudi is expected to explore strong family emotions, showing a different side of the actor.
Adding to the curiosity, Ravi Teja is collaborating with young filmmaker Hasith Goli, known for his unconventional storytelling in films like SWAG and Raja Raja Chora. Backed by producer Dil Raju, the project carries strong expectations. This phase appears crucial in Ravi Teja’s career, as a successful experiment could mark a new chapter, while failure may increase the pressure to deliver a solid commercial hit.
