An explosion at a metal-melting unit in Gummidipoondi SIPCOT killed Bihar worker Ravi Ranjan and injured seven others. Emergency crews controlled the fire, while police began examining the circumstances behind the accident. A worker from Bihar was killed and seven others sustained serious burn injuries following an explosion at a private metal-melting factory in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district on Tuesday, July 14.
