The issue gained attention after DMK organisation secretary R S Bharathi reportedly submitted a complaint to the Director General of Police on June 30, seeking action over the alleged presence of John Arokiasamy and Vishnu Reddy in Cabinet meetings, official reviews, and other confidential discussions. The DMK has argued that if non-government persons attended such meetings, it raises concerns over access to sensitive government information.

Vijay’s long association with cinema means many of his trusted people come from the film, media, and campaign-management worlds.
