Amitabh Bachchan has been advised to take a few days off to rest and recover. The 84-year-old actor shared the update on X on October 21 and apologised to followers for being unable to write. He did not explain why he had been advised to rest.
Bachchan asks fans to excuse his absence
In his post on X, Bachchan said he had been advised to take time off for rest and recovery. He did not share further details about his condition or say when he would return to posting.
A day earlier, he had shared a similar message on his official blog while wishing readers a happy Dussehra. He said he had been instructed to rest and avoid communication temporarily, and expressed hope that he would be able to write again soon.
Actor previously disclosed a knee injury
The update comes weeks after Bachchan said he had injured his left knee in a fall during a Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 shoot. In an episode aired around September 30, he delivered his opening monologue while seated, explaining that standing was uncomfortable. He described the injury as minor at the time.
Bachchan has not said whether the knee injury is related to his current rest period. His latest posts confirm only that he has been advised to take a few days off.
