Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returned to the Paris Fashion Week runway for L’Oréal Paris’ ninth Le Défilé on September 28. Wearing dramatic velvet couture and burgundy-red hair, she joined an international line-up near the Eiffel Tower and shared warm moments with Céline Dion and Eva Longoria. 

A Regal Walk Beneath the Eiffel Tower
Aishwarya walked at Place Joffre, where the Eiffel Tower formed the backdrop for L’Oréal Paris’ annual showcase. As a long-standing ambassador for the brand, she brought her familiar poise to a runway event centred on confidence and self-worth. The Paris setting and international cast made her appearance a highlight for fans following the show online. 

Velvet Couture and Burgundy-Red Hair
For the runway, Aishwarya wore a velvet creation by designer Yara Shoemaker. The dark, sweeping outfit gave her look a regal feel, while her burgundy-red hair added a striking contrast. She appeared in a line-up that included Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Simone Ashley, Viola Davis and Jane Fonda. Céline Dion was also part of the evening’s star-studded event.

Aishwarya’s interactions off the runway drew attention too. Videos showed her holding hands with Dion, sharing an embrace and dancing with her on stage. Earlier, Aishwarya greeted fans and posed for selfies in Paris alongside her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. The runway appearance adds another chapter to her long association with L’Oréal Paris and follows her Cannes Film Festival outings earlier this year. Her most recent theatrical film was Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: II, but in Paris the attention was firmly on her fashion look and her easy rapport with the other stars.
