Narine’s Tight Bowling Spell And X Video Buzz Keep KKR Win In Focus
Sunil Narine delivered another match-defining performance for Kolkata Knight Riders as KKR defeated Mumbai Indians by four wickets in their IPL 2026 clash at Eden Gardens. The veteran spinner gave away only 13 runs in his four overs and picked up the important wicket of Hardik Pandya, helping Kolkata keep their playoff hopes alive.
A video shared on X highlighted two pressure catches by Manish Pandey and Cameron Green, adding more attention to KKR’s all-round effort in the win over MI.

Narine’s 13-Run Spell Stops Mumbai
Mumbai Indians were already under pressure after early wickets, but KKR still needed control in the middle overs. Narine provided exactly that with his sharp accuracy, clever pace changes, and trademark variations. He bowled 16 dot balls and allowed only one boundary, making it difficult for Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, and Corbin Bosch to score freely.
Tilak struggled to read Narine’s off-breaks and carrom balls, while Hardik found no room to attack. Narine’s biggest moment came when he bowled Hardik with a turning off-break that went through his defence.
KKR Playoff Hopes Stay Alive
The victory helped Kolkata Knight Riders continue their strong comeback after a poor start to the season. KKR have now won six of their last seven matches and will face Delhi Capitals on May 24 at Eden Gardens in another must-win game. If the pitch again offers grip and turn, Narine could once more become Kolkata’s biggest weapon in the playoff race.
