Zee5 Unveils Biggest Multilingual Slate With Major Telugu Films

Zee5 has revealed its biggest multilingual content slate, led by a strong Telugu movie lineup featuring NBK111, Vrushakarma, major star-driven films, new web series and the return of Jayammu Nishchayammu Ra Season 2.

Major Telugu Films Join Zee5’s Upcoming Slate

Zee5 has announced an ambitious multilingual content slate featuring films, original series and reality shows across several Indian languages. The Telugu lineup has attracted particular attention because it includes the digital rights to multiple high-profile projects. Among the biggest announcements is the upcoming film featuring Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The collaboration brings together popular stars and a commercially successful filmmaker, making it one of the most anticipated additions to the platform.

The Zee5 Telugu movie lineup also includes Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NBK111 and Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma. Securing the NBK111 digital rights and the Vrushakarma OTT release strengthens the platform’s position in the competitive Telugu streaming market. With major stars attached to these films, Zee5 is expected to attract significant viewership once the titles complete their theatrical runs and arrive on the service.

Nivetha Thomas and Srikanth Headline New Telugu Series

The platform has also expanded its Telugu web series library with several notable projects. Shrimathi marks the OTT comeback of Nivetha Thomas and is expected to be one of the major original series in the new slate. Senior actor Srikanth will appear in Objection Mylord, adding another recognised name to Zee5’s upcoming web content.

Popular talk show Jayammu Nishchayammu Ra is also returning for Season 2. The show’s comeback gives the slate a familiar entertainment format alongside the newly announced dramas and films. By combining star-led movies, original fiction and unscripted programming, Zee5 appears to be targeting viewers with different content preferences rather than depending on a single genre.

Hindi and Tamil Projects Expand the Multilingual Lineup

Zee5’s Hindi slate includes Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bobby Deol’s Bandar, Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhagya Vidhata and Pooja Meri Jaan, featuring Mrunal Thakur. These projects bring together established Bollywood actors and are expected to play an important role in broadening the platform’s national reach.

The Tamil lineup includes Koose Munisamy Veerappan, Thadayam, Ananthakaalam, Thee Kural and Demonte Colony 3. The mix of franchise titles, thrillers and original productions reflects Zee5’s effort to build a varied regional catalogue rather than simply acquiring isolated big-ticket films.

Kannada and Malayalam Content Strengthens Regional Strategy

For Kannada audiences, Zee5 has announced a new season of Ayyana Mane, along with the originals Bitcoin Scam and Operation Bangara. Raj B Shetty’s Karavali is another important addition to the Kannada slate. In Malayalam, the platform will premiere A Queen, Malabar Cup and the successful film Balan the Boy.

With a combination of major Telugu films, Zee5 upcoming web series, Hindi star vehicles and regional originals, the platform is making a clear push to compete more aggressively in India’s streaming market. The scale of the slate is impressive, but its real success will depend on release timing, content quality and whether these titles can convert star power into sustained subscriptions.
