Modern Missamma First Single Better Be A Missamma Launched

The first single from Modern Missamma, titled Better Be A Missamma, was launched at a grand event in Hyderabad. Directed by Sai Baba and produced under Lasya & Mithuna Creations, the film stars Harsha Narra and Tanmayi Khushi and is designed as a contemporary entertainer centered on relationships, marriage and a woman’s perspective.

The first single from Modern Missamma was officially unveiled at Prasads Labs in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Titled Better Be A Missamma, the song is composed by Gopi Sundar with lyrics by Kittu Vissapragada. The visuals feature Harsha Narra in traditional dhoti attire and Tanmayi Khushi in a traditional look, while the song revolves around the heroine expressing her reluctance toward marriage. The makers believe the track will connect strongly with women, much like some iconic songs from earlier Telugu films connected with male audiences. Produced by Chiranjeevi Pamidi, Shiva Pamidi, Kiran Kumar Nalluri and Sravanthi Namburi under Lasya & Mithuna Creations, the film is written, scripted and directed by Sai Baba.

Harsha Narra and Tanmayi Khushi Confident About Audience Connect

Harsha Narra described Modern Missamma as his third film after Missing and Roti Kapada Romance. Acknowledging that his earlier films did not perform as expected commercially, he said his determination to continue working hard remains unchanged. He added that the entire team made Modern Missamma with passion and worked together like close friends. Harsha praised Tanmayi Khushi’s performance, Gopi Sundar’s music and Kittu Vissapragada’s relatable lyrics, expressing confidence that the film will connect with audiences. Tanmayi Khushi said she was especially happy that the story had been written from a woman’s point of view and felt her character would be relatable to many viewers.

Director Sai Baba Explains the Idea Behind Modern Missamma

Director Sai Baba said making a film can be as challenging as building a house or conducting a marriage. He thanked the cast, technicians and producers for supporting him through the journey. Explaining the choice of title, he said using a classic name like Missamma required confidence, as earlier films with the same title were ahead of their time. According to him, the performances in this film justify the title Modern Missamma. He also clarified that the film is not against marriage, but instead explores what people should understand and consider before getting married. He highlighted Gopi Sundar’s music as one of the film’s major strengths.

Producers and Technical Team Praise the Final Output

Producer Chiranjeevi Pamidi said Modern Missamma is the banner’s second film after Calling Sahasra. Though the earlier film did not deliver the expected result, he expressed strong confidence in the new project. He said the team set out two years ago to make a film suited to current trends and successfully completed it within the planned schedule and budget. ‘Vadala’ producer Kishore Naidu, who watched the film’s premiere, praised the movie and said he could not find any major flaw, adding that Dr. Bhadram’s role is especially hilarious. DOP Sheshu Raj Daddala called the film an important milestone in his career, while choreographer Balakrishna expressed happiness over composing the title song. The film also features Siju AR, Pramodini, Harika, Dr. Bhadram, Shivannarayana and Rakesh Rachakonda in key roles.
