Jagamae Sangeetham Trailer: Musical Drama Premieres September 4

Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming Telugu Original series Jagamae Sangeetham, a musical family drama inspired by Bandish Bandits. Created and directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, the eight-episode series blends Carnatic music, family legacy, love and self-discovery, and will premiere on September 4, 2026.

Jagamae Sangeetham Brings Carnatic Music to the Heart of the Story

Prime Video’s upcoming Telugu Original Jagamae Sangeetham explores a world where Carnatic music is more than an art form—it becomes a symbol of identity, inheritance and emotional connection across generations. Produced by Sushmita Konidela under Gold Box Entertainment, the series is written by Vangala Surya Manoj, Shravani Samudrala and A.R. Prabhav, with music composed by Vishal Chandrasekar. His score plays a central role in shaping the series, combining the richness of classical Carnatic traditions with contemporary musical influences. Set in the temple town of Vaikuntapuram, the trailer introduces a deeply emotional family drama built around tradition, ambition and the struggle to find an individual voice within an established legacy.

Balu and Pallavi’s Contrasting Worlds Drive the Drama

At the centre of the story is Balu, the talented grandson of revered musician Shastri Garu, who carries the heavy responsibility of preserving his family’s celebrated musical heritage while trying to discover his own identity. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Pallavi, a successful pop star who is exhausted by the pressures of fame and longs for a more genuine connection with music and life. As their contrasting worlds collide, old rivalries resurface, hidden truths begin to emerge and relationships are pushed to their limits. Prakash Raj, Madhubala Lead a Strong Ensemble Cast

The series features an extensive ensemble cast led by Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Madhubala, Akshay Lagusani and Sushmita Shetty. Supporting roles are played by Suman, Sijju Menon, Shafi, Jhansi, Raghu Babu Yerra, Rocket Raghava, Nagi Jabardasth, Mirchi Kiran, Keshav Deepak, Priyanka Nalkari, Manik Reddy, Prachi Thaker and Roopa Lakshmi. Prakash Raj plays Shastri, a deeply disciplined musician whose strict outlook is rooted in his fear of losing a family legacy built over generations. Madhubala, meanwhile, highlighted the emotional honesty of the relationships in the series, noting that the story captures the love, silence, misunderstandings and sacrifices that often define families.

The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on September 4, 2026, across India and more than 240 countries and territories, in Telugu with English subtitles and Tamil dubs.
