Sunil and Akhil Uddemari’s upcoming psychological thriller Fight Maha has unveiled its theatrical trailer ahead of its worldwide release on August 21. Directed by Anand Chandra, the film explores dreams, sleepwalking, guilt, mental illness, destiny and hidden truths through an unusual narrative.

Fight Maha Trailer Introduces a Psychological Mystery

Sunil and Akhil Uddemari play the lead roles in Fight Maha, an upcoming Telugu psychological thriller that also features Dr. Srivani Gopichand, Vaishnavi, Siddharth and Srikanth Ayyangar in key roles. The film carries the intriguing tagline, “If dreams come true, whose truth is it?” Directed by Anand Chandra, Fight Maha is produced by AVS Raju, R. Kumar Raju and Anand Chandra under the New I Movies LLP banner. The makers have now released the 2-minute-20-second theatrical trailer, which aims to deepen the mystery surrounding the film’s central conflict. The movie is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 21.

Teaser Crosses One Million Views After Ram Gopal Varma Launch

The promotional campaign for Fight Maha began with its teaser, which was released last month by filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. According to the makers, the teaser received a strong response and crossed more than one million views. Producer AVS Raju said the team was impressed by Anand Chandra’s story from the initial narration itself, which encouraged them to back the project. He added that the director managed to translate the story to the screen in the same way it was originally narrated. The film was shot across Visakhapatnam, Kerala and Hyderabad, and although Sunil and Akhil Uddemari dominate the posters, nearly 40 actors are said to play important roles in the story.

Sleepwalking, Dreams and Hidden Truths Drive the Story

Director Anand Chandra said the film uses sleepwalking as one of its key concepts and presents it in a way he believes will feel fresh to Telugu audiences. While similar themes have appeared in cinema before, he said Fight Maha combines dreams, mental illness, destiny, guilt and concealed truths within an innovative psychological-thriller framework. “Maha” is the name of the male protagonist, whose life is defined by a constant struggle against difficult circumstances. According to the director, this continuous battle is the reason behind the title Fight Maha.

Beyond its suspense and psychological elements, the film is also intended to carry an encouraging message. Anand Chandra explained that Fight Maha emphasizes the need to keep moving forward despite disappointment, frustration and setbacks. With its unusual premise, ensemble cast and questions surrounding dreams and reality, the makers are positioning Fight Maha as a psychological thriller designed to combine mystery, emotion and a positive message when it arrives in theatres worldwide on August 21.
