Palla Burusu, presented by Annapurna Studios and Epic Studios, is set for a grand theatrical release on August 14. King Nagarjuna, who attended the pre-release press meet as chief guest, praised the film as an emotional family entertainer filled with humour, heart and a meaningful message about caring for parents.

King Nagarjuna said he thoroughly enjoyed watching Palla Burusu, adding that the film made him laugh while also bringing tears to his eyes. He said the story emotionally connected with him because of its focus on parents, family responsibilities and the importance of caring for elders. Nagarjuna noted that children depend on their parents for support and security when they are young, and later in life it becomes their responsibility to look after them. He praised Sudhakar Reddy, Muralidhar Goud and the entire cast for their performances and appreciated music director Pawan CH for delivering an impressive soundtrack. He expressed confidence that the film would connect strongly with audiences and succeed at the box office.

Annapurna Studios Expands Focus on New Stories

Nagarjuna also spoke about Annapurna Studios completing 50 years and said the production house is entering a more active phase with new films and expanded distribution plans. He said the banner, established by his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao, has produced several acclaimed films over the decades and will now focus on giving opportunities to fresh talent and new concepts. After recently releasing Lenin, the studio is now bringing Palla Burusu to theatres, followed by Rambha Urvashi Menaka and other projects, including his upcoming King 100. Producer Supriya Yarlagadda said she decided to back Palla Burusu immediately after hearing the story, describing it as sweet, beautiful and layered with a deeper message. Producer Vivek Krishnani thanked Annapurna Studios and the entire team for supporting director Uday Chauhan’s vision.

Director Uday Chauhan said the idea of Palla Burusu, which means toothbrush, came from his desire to build a meaningful story around a simple everyday object. He said the film draws inspiration from small incidents, arguments and emotions commonly seen in families and presents them with freshness and entertainment. Chauhan thanked Nagarjuna, Supriya Yarlagadda and the production teams for believing in his script. He also praised Sudhakar Reddy, Muralidhar Goud, Gomathi and Prajwal for their performances and urged audiences to watch the film with their families. Muralidhar Goud said the movie would entertain audiences while also making them think about certain aspects of family life. Prajwal and debut actress Gomathi described the film as a beautiful and memorable experience. Music director Pawan CH and lyricist Suresh Gangula thanked the makers for allowing them to contribute creatively. With positive promotional response already building, Palla Burusu will release in theatres on August 14 as a family-oriented drama blending humour, emotion and a strong social message.
