Nagarjuna Says Lenin Will Showcase Akhil In A New Way

The grand pre-release event of Lenin was held in Tirupati ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on July 10. Starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, the film is presented by Annapurna Studios and produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Manam Enterprises LLP and Sithara Entertainments. Speaking at the event, Nagarjuna said he was deeply impressed when director Murali Kishor Abburu narrated the story. He added that every character in the film has different shades and that the second half will surprise audiences with unexpected twists. Nagarjuna described Lenin as a story rooted in Rayalaseema soil, people, emotions and conflict. He said he was initially unsure whether Akhil would suit such a role, but after watching the film, he felt only the character Lenin was visible on screen, not Akhil.

Akhil Akkineni Calls Lenin An Emotional Journey

Akhil Akkineni said Lenin is a film through which he has tried to become one among the audience’s families. He shared that the story connected strongly with his personal journey and emotions, which made him immediately agree to the project. Akhil said he does not want to speak too much about the film before release and believes the film itself will speak on July 10. He thanked the entire team, including Naga Vamsi, Nagarjuna, music directors, editors and technicians, for giving their best to the project. Akhil also praised Bhagyashri Borse for her hard work and said the entire team worked like a family to bring the film to life.

Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi said Akhil worked extremely hard for Lenin and assured fans that the actor will not disappoint anyone this time. He said the film will be highly engaging, with several surprises, especially during the interval and the final 40 minutes. Bhagyashri Borse, who plays Bharathi, said the role will remain special in her career and thanked the makers for trusting her with such an important character. Actors Shivaji, Brahmaji and Sunil also expressed confidence in the film, saying the audience will see only the characters on screen and not the actors. Shivaji said Lenin is a perfect film for Akhil and will give fans everything they expect.

Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin is being promoted as a strong emotional drama with love, revenge and rooted storytelling. Nagarjuna said the film has a powerful love story at its heart and praised Bhagyashri Borse’s character Bharathi as the heartbeat of the movie.
