Director Kabir Khan is teaming up once again with Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan for an upcoming sports drama based on the inspiring life of Tajamul Islam, India’s youngest kickboxing world champion. Kartik will portray the role of a kickboxing coach who mentors a young girl hailing from a conflict-ridden area, guiding her through intense competition as she rises to become a champion.
Reports suggest that popular actress Sreeleela is in discussions to play a crucial role alongside Kartik Aaryan, adding depth and emotional weight to the narrative. Although the casting has not been officially confirmed, industry insiders report that talks are ongoing, with a final decision expected soon.
This film will mark the second time that Sreeleela will be seen opposite Kartik Aaryan, following their collaboration in the upcoming Hindi film Aashique 3 (tentative title). If both films become successful, Sreeleela’s career in Hindi cinema is expected to rise significantly.
The film’s shooting has already commenced in the picturesque locales of Kashmir, with Kartik Aaryan completing the first schedule. Plans are underway to resume full-scale filming soon. To prepare for the role, Kartik has undergone extensive physical training, which is expected to add authenticity to his character. The story will highlight themes of resilience, determination, and the drive to overcome challenges, as it depicts Tajamul Islam’s journey from a humble background to becoming a global sports icon. The makers are aiming for a theatrical release in mid-2027.
